Heather Hughes

Heather is an actor, director and teaching artist. Heather has over 20 years of audition and public-speaking coaching experience as well as extensive experience working with executives on how to lean into their authenticity in the workplace. Heather's years in theatre have taught her that what she identifies as the core tenets of acting; being present, being honest, trusting yourself and listening, are beneficial focuses to ANYONE in any field. When we practice these tenets we become better at communicating, which makes us better managers, co-workers and people in the world. While living in NYC, Heather worked as a Teaching Artist with multiple theatres including The New Victory Theatre, Disney, ENACT, and The Lincoln Center, and worked as an Executive Coach with Gurumaker, founded by New York Times bestselling author on executive presence, Harrison Monarth. Clients included General Electric, Dunkin' Donuts, and the U.S. Army. Heather is currently on faculty in the education department at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and in 2021 was named Western Colorado University's first ever Artist-in-Residence.
