Lisa’s service-ethic and strong reflective practice have contributed to her personal and professional success. At this early point in her career, she realized being of service to others was her passion. After attending a year of law school at Denver University, it was clear to Lisa that being an attorney was not the career she craved, so she pivoted to a financial advisor role, which met the service-to-others goal. Lisa has also studied and taught yoga, managed the revenue department at a ski resort, and continuously served as a resource for friends and family about business operations. It was the free business consulting that made her realize that she could parlay her experience into a career.
With her two young sons in tow, Lisa formed Zen For Business, which combined her passion for helping business owners reach their full potential along with her expertise in accounting, human resources, finance, and problem solving. Lisa works intimately with business owners and their staff to strategize for success, create processes to increase efficiencies, and develop her clients’ emotional intelligence, which benefits their clients, employees, and bottom line. Examples of industries with which Lisa has worked include resorts, building contractors, health and wellness, restaurants, retail, manufacturing, non-profits, education, and agricultural services.
Lisa holds a B.S. in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Northern Colorado. She is Core Coach Certified through the CTA, holds a Fundamentals of Sustainable Accounting (FSA) Level 1 credential and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and is proud that Zen Business Consulting is a Certified B Corporation.
